Our IKIGAI Trustees

Sujitha Krishnan

– Founder Trustee

Sujitha Krishnan, Founder Trustee of The IKIGAI Foundation, is the heart and driving force behind the organization — an initiative born from her deep compassion for women and her belief that when a mother is supported, an entire generation flourishes. With over a decade of global experience across telecom, HR, and project management, Sujitha has led large-scale international projects and built strong delivery teams across continents. Yet, her true calling emerged from a deeply personal journey — that of becoming a mother herself. During her pregnancy in Finland, Sujitha was profoundly moved by how the government ensured every expectant mother received a maternity kit — a thoughtful gesture that made every woman, regardless of background, feel cared for, prepared, and celebrated. Having received the same kit when she gave birth to her first child, she carried that feeling of joy, dignity, and reassurance in her heart. This experience became the seed for The IKIGAI Foundation — her mission to bring that same sense of care to mothers from humble backgrounds in India. Under her leadership, the foundation has launched transformative initiatives such as the Maternity Kit Program and Cukoon Pods — India’s first tech-driven lactation pods that give working mothers privacy and dignity wherever they are. A former Rotary Club President (District 3190), Sujitha continues to lead with empathy, purpose, and conviction — reminding us that true progress begins with the simple act of caring for mothers.
